Currently serving as a television host and analyst for the NHL's Dallas Stars on Bally Sports Southwest (formerly FOX Sports), Brien Rea has been an Emmy-winning broadcaster, play-by-play voice, and radio drive-time talent, since 2007. The St. Louis native has worked in three top-25 media markets, and an additional top-40 market, along the way. In 2020 and 2021, Rea was a part of a broadcast team named second and fourth-best in the NHL by The Athletic.
His career began as the voice of Lake Forest College hockey in Chicago, before expanding into college basketball, minor-league baseball, and arena football. Rea has also managed communications departments, community relations, sales, marketing, and graphic design along with his play-by-play and hosting efforts.
